Consider this .

In Jeopardy style, the answer that comes to mind is "What is DMZ" . A demilitarised zone to be more precise. However , a quick check of facts would in fact reveal that all is well is Namibia . No wars in this country . So what begs the above lenghty discourse on the heighten state of security in the nation . DMZ , in this context , actually would be a demedia-fied zone . I first gathered the term from Elizabeth Wurtzel's book of "more, now and again" where she speaks of the addicitions . Addiction to the point of insanity , to the point of no return.

How apt because in this day and age , we are addicted . Addicted to pop culture and people worship these new celebrities where Hollywood is mecca . The situation above , actually describes what went on in Namibia during the birth of Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt's new baby . Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. While we shall avoid going into a analysis how chic it is to have 4 names nowadays , we have to ask ourselves is it truly necessary to go through so much trouble to avoid the oh-so-dangerous paparazzi ? It's scary to think how much power celebrity has nowadays .

We are not even disputing the question that whether the combined earnings of both artists is the probably more the the GDP of the country they have chosen to given birth to their first child . It just mind boggling how Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie manages to wield so much power to literally make the country close it's doors for business . Since Brad Pitt's high profile break-up with Jennifer Aniston , the paparazzi has been tracking the couple's every move and throughout this time , we have gotten ourselves familiarised to the rainbow family of Angelina Jolie and names such as Maddox and Zahara no longer seem weird . Truly, this is the advent of how socialites get younger and younger each year . If you thought that people like Paris Hilton were bratty , i shudder to imagine what Maddox would grow up to be like. We hear his scowl is rather formidable. We watched on as the relationship of "Brangelina" everyday on the tabloids , catching pictures of the couples taking plane rides together , taking the kids out together and having fun . Everyone feels like the power couple is part of their very own family and i even dare venture to say that i'll probably gather more pictures of Brangelina in action than the number of pictures i have of my relatives .

Perhaps all the tight security , did prove to be of some value for the eventual price paid for the photos came up to be a staggering amount of 4.1 million dollars when it was sold to the magazines . A precious set of pictures featuring Shiloh Nouvel as the new kid on the blog . Numero Uno . The numerous allusions to the birth of Jesus was aplenty throughout the webspace . Even more than the suggestions of how Suri Cruise , offspring of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is an alien, come to destroy the world. Which , incidentally , i believe more than the messiah rumour because scientolgy is for crazy people . Jokes aside , the birth of Shiloh Nouvel was celebrated and newspaper , every magazine were eager to herald in the new child . The bible of has spoken . Even reuters , decide to join in the madness and decide to categorise news relating to Shiloh under "World Crisis"

I know . We all needs to be saved , Who does the saving or who needs to saving is still a bit hazy . Yep . if you took a closer look at the picture above , yep , no surprises there . The pictures were indeed leaked onto the world wide web , way ahead the date that it was suppose to hit the news stands and yes legal suits were flying about , threatening to sue if the photos were published online . Gawker was one of the online media giants that was facing such a threat . Yours truly actually managed to catch the first few illegal glimpse of the baby when it was first published onto the web on tuesday . Now that , the official pictures are out , we are once again bombarded with the pictures of Shiloh and i won't be sued for having a picture of this "miracle baby" here .


Finally we get a glimpse of this elusive baby , and clearly , shares the same lips as Angelina . Yay to hollywood babies . I constantly wonder how Shiloh will feel when she grows up to find that right from the start , she was treated as a commodity , where her pictures was sold and bargained for . I guess time will tell . In this case . perhaps , not time . The paparazzi will tell .
