Wintourian Wisdoms

If you don't already know who anna wintour is , she's the editor in chief for vogue who practically controls and 160 billion dollar fashion business in the world and after reading front row , which is a biography about her , though unauthorized , you can't help but marvel at her resourcefulness and revel in the fact that there is hope for us all . ( she hardly finished high-school and now she's in a job that pays more then 2 million a year + an endless clothes budget ) . She's truly one character and the story of how she made an emergency ambulance stop and didn't allow it to pass her when she had problems with her heels crossing the road .

So , one might wonder how is she so succesful ? .. I've managed to shrink them into short succinct points .

- Always be politically correct in front of your bosses
- Be an absolute master when it comes to manipulation
- If the people don't work with you , work with other people . Establish good networks
- Eat , Live and Breathe whatever you are passionate about
- A skill set is definitely much better than useless knowledge from school
- Tap into all available resource
- Develop astute and sharp instincts to know what works and what doesn't
- Have one goal and just pursuit it to death
- Don't throw all your cards out . keep some for reserve ammunition .

I'm sure there's still quite a lot , but it was an entertaining read and the Devil wears Prada is really writing about her . The similarities are striking and the author of the book did work as Anna Wintour's assistant . The tips are seemingly very simple , yet when it comes to following it , it's a whole ball game altogether .
