I'm a SMU Student and i speak Engrish

I think it's absolutely tragic that the level of English in SMU is so bad . It makes me want to hurl when presentation time comes around . I just don't understand why this is so . I can understand if you don't understand certain complicated words but when you make a stupid mistake like "i'm year 2 students and i want to work in the finance in-dust-tree" , surely you can't expect me to take you seriously .

What makes the entire situation worse is when a professor comes into class and makes a grand statement to say "i will be judging you based on your content and not how good your english is"

Let me just say that . that is NOT helping at all .
