it can't be stop .
I'm burning , i'm hot ,
it can't be stop .
Yes , after diving over the weekends , i'm TOTALLY sunburnt . Haha .. well, like i say , it's better to be sunburnt than to be in a underwater grave , where the fishes can have a good meal . Hehe . Pulau Aur was fantastic , the water surrounding the island are pristine and clear , u can see right to the bottom of the sea bed , along with the corals and the wide array of fishes . We spotted reef sharks , stingrays , sotong , without even going into the water . The diving , was of course fantastic , Adrian , our guide was very professional and friendly . So is Royhana , our Diva mama & Brita , a swedish girl interning in singapore . Here's a rough breakdown of the dives .
Lang ( 1st and 5th dive )
The first time we were there , the water surface was extremely choppy . Many people had like puke fest while on the boat . But , underwater , it was a different story . We saw a turtle !! A moray eel, clams , amongst a whole lot of other fishes . We dived to about 18m . For the 5th dive ,the water was relatively calmer and it was a rather easy dive . This time , schools of the yellow tailed fishie ( okay , i don't know the name ) was spotted . I also saw giant sea cucumbers .. so eecky . Scorpion fish & Jelly fish was also spotted . Exciting . Vanessa was kinda traumatised over the slicing of the jellyfish , making adrian look like a sushi chef.
Rayner's Rock ( 2nd & 4th dive )
As the name suggests , the dive environment was a rocky . There was a huge variety and amount of corals , both hard and soft . It was a very colourful scene , like an underwater garden . The currents through bands of rock was strong so we had to put in extra effort to make our way around as well as take care not the knock into the corals and destroy them . The more significant marine life spotted was the emperor butterfly fish , or was it angel fish . A couple of nudibranches , and of course nemo .
House Reef ( 3th Dive )
This was just round the corner of Pulau Aur , the western side of the island was too choppy on the first day , hence we decided to check out this area . Nothing really significant here , the more boring of the 2 other dive sites . Nontheless , each dive is still as exciting as the other . The excitment of diving is just unexplainable.
In all , the trip was a fantastic getaway from the sickening life in singapore . i think i would want to take my advance course soon . Probably next year when the monsoon season is over . And definitely decide on whether to get a prescribed dive mask or contacts . Haha .. it's funny how i spot these fished without the help of my glasses underwater . Hahha .. I ought to find a part time job to support my luxuries .
