Make Room for Emails .

Yeah . that's what my life is about now . making room for ideas . One of the best things i've done so far in the last week was to actually organise & streamline my emails into one single email platform on my ibook . Now i can access my school email and my gmail accounts concurrently on my MAIL programme and at the same time combining all my available addresses into one single database . I used to think that checking my mail through the browser wouldn't cost me much time but after syncing everything together i realised how convenient it is. I can send my photos through email with just a click of a button on my iphoto programme , i can attach documents faster than ever before and read and reply my emails with more speed since i've decided to leave my mail programme is open all the time and i search for relevant mail very quickly . Thus with this , it is with sufficient warning , especially to people i work with that , seeing all these has speed my efficiency , be prepared to receive more emails and check your emails more regularly .

Since my inception into smu , i realised that people still have this notion that emails are fun things to play with and a junk collection centre for crappy emails . Pls wake up . Emails , whether you choose to accept it or not , have been at the very nexus of internal business communications and people use their emails for every single thing , to send work around , to send messages and the reason for doing so is that is much much faster than sending a physical memo or an entire file of information . All these done with the assumption that email is read in real time and people respond as quickly as they can . suffice to say , people in smu has made what could a potentially platform for increased efficiency to complete useless piece of shit . They ignore emails and think that they are "friendly messages" containing fun things to read and any work that comes through the email mostly remains undone . i can safely say that 90% of my emails get no return messages or if anything is send back to me , it's one without content written in a "friendly message" manner .

Not that i'm saying you can't send your "friendly messages" via email to your friends all over the world , coz i do so , but my point is , there is difference . pls have the critical skills to distinguish the difference between valid argument and persuasive rhetoric . there is an entire evil side to emails that people have not been exposed to and don't me resort to it . It may even worse than a 3 way calling attack .
