A Letter to your Local Supermarket

Dear NTUC FairPrice .

While i applaud your efforts to encourage Singaporeans reduce using plastic bags, this random tagging of items feels like a shot through the heart . Nevermind the fact that you're incapable to baking delicious bread, but it is not your fault ,because horrible bread seems to be one of the many negative hallmarks this country has, but surely you know what a baguette is ?

I mean , if you have managed to recreate the semblance of this delicious french staple , surely you could put in a bit more effort in remembering the name of it. In your defense , i guess, since your baguette tastes like crap and so little like the original bread found in the boulangeries throughout France , an existential argument would be that "unknown" is a rather appropriate tag , because mon dieu , i have no idea what is in the bread either .

However , just as you have educated the locals to the detrimental effects on the environment from overusing plastic bags , i encourage you to take the extra step and include naming things properly in the supermarket .

Yours Sincerely,
Known .
