Dim Sum Dollies : Esplanade : 12 August 2004 .

The dynamic trio, comprising of Selena Tan, Pamela Oei and Emma Yong , flanked by their 6 beefcakes gave the audience something laugh about last night . Selena's first few comments on how the 12 August 2003 marks a new era of the dynasty I mean democracy of the Singapore Politics, set the tone for the evening's performances with subtle hints , poking fun at the singapore government as well as their corny taglines ie. "Romancing Singapore". The real joke however is perhaps Singaporeans themselves , clearly illustrated in the "Sing" act . The short skits depict singaporeans albeit OTT , how we are, in desperate need of quick fixes , sterotyping tendencies and our crazy idiosyncracies . Perhaps due to the fact the Glen Goei was the director at helm ,the performance for the night ended off with a medley of Singapore Songs, making it seem as if it was NDP at the Esplanade, reminding all of us that we are indeed, "Uniquely Singapore"

If you are in need of a good laugh and a fun time with your friends , go catch it !
