Okay .. there's something wrong with my blogger , i can't seem to edit my previous post to post my thoughts on the movie .

Anyway , as the title suggests , a very long engagement , means , a very long movie . However , it is not entirely a pain to watch . Filled with interesting characters , the story of a war torn lovers is delicately woven into the movie . Audrey Tatou plays Malitha , engaged to a Manche , her fiance who left for World War I . While it was widely believed that her fiance did not survive the war , Malitha did not give up in her search to find the absolute truth . It was touching yet at the same time foolhardy to see someone hold on to the simple "what-if's" of life , yet at the end , the movie , ended with a refreshing perspective . If anything ,it's just testament to the reality of life on how , often in life , as we may hope for everything we want to achieve , we might not get what we want in life . In movie, this is further explored . Do , after in our dogged pursuit of our wants , realise the impossible and settle for something else ? U go figure .


If u realise , this post is also made at the unearthly hour of 3am . One reason being , i'm an insomniac . Next , being , i just came back from a horrible clubbing experience at Zouk . In fact , i'm so pissed that i'm quite keen to start a "Boycott Zouk " movement and putting my new found photoshop skills to use to design posters supporting this cause . Seriously , i've never had a good time there before and i'm never stepping in there ever again , unless someone offers me free drinks and entry . Other than that , Zouk can say goodbye to my patronage . Can someone please explain to me the allure of the place ? Honestly , as i'm typing this and listening to Beyonce's Crazy in Love , i think i'll have a more enjoyable time here at home with my computer .

As mentioned , i just attended a photoshop course and made some pretty graphics (in my pathetic opinion , viewing available upon request in MSN ) , thinking of reopening my geocities site as a portfolio site of sorts ... what do ya think ? Lala ..
