The Reason Why

I think the reason why singaporeans can't speak proper english , boils down to the fact that Singaporeans don't read enough . As a few of you may know . i'm actually working this week and i have to wake up along with the rest of the digits in this matrix and brave the morning rush hour and make my way to work .

I am a strange kid . I like to sit on the seat in the bus that faces everyone else in the bus (mainly because i think it's always empty and i just sit anywhere that's empty) , but facing everyone means i get to people watch . I realise . People are either sleeping . Staring into space or staring at TVmobile (oh how i hate thee) . Nobody reads . Out of the entire bus , there will be like . 1 person reading . Moi .

The train , i think is slightly better , u can see more people reading , but i'm guessing that it is simply the matter of bigger numbers . Don't understand why people don't read . After devouring so many books in Paris i have re-accquainted myself with the joy of reading because i had a lot time to myself to read my books . In Paris , i could also find quiet encloves and just sit and read. In Singapore, it is rather hard to find a quiet spot to read ...
