A Room of One's Own

I wonder how many of us have actually read Virginia's Woolf's feminist polemic "A Room of One's Own" . I had a chance to sample the text during Gender Studies Class and i went out got the book in Paris and it was literally the last book i read in Paris ( I finished the book while queuing at the airport waiting to check in my luggage at the country )

The book basically talks about how women , should own their own property and be given the proper physical space and proper income and respect in the public sphere in order to write . Everyone should read the book .

It made quite a lot of sense when i was reading the book because i sharing the room with someone in Paris , but coming home , it seems even more oppressive than in Paris . I postulate it is not so much the physical space but who is invading your space . At this moment , even though i have a room of my own , i would like to have a house of my own . Not even a chateau . Just a tiny place . Give me a kitchen , internet access , a table , a bed , a fridge and a huge wardrobe to store my books and clothes i'll be very very happy .

Can't wait to bloody graduate , find a job and move out .
